The following is a list of all the ghd articles published on the site before the middle of August 2008 (when we updated our systems and started publishing blog posts and articles separately). Please beware that these articles are not updated and as such, information contained in them (like prices and stuff) could well be wrong.
As such, we'd recommend skipping this page (unless you are looking for something we wrote a while ago) and heading over to our homepage to get the latest information on all the latest ghd deals we have on offer!

GHD have recently started selling (without much in the way of a fanfare) a new ghd travel dryer pack, which includes a ghd travel hairdryer and various other ghd thermodynamics products.

We've put up a new poll that asks whether or not you are going to buy a pink ghd styler this year. We are very interested in the results, as it will be interesting to see if pink ghd straighteners remain the runaway sales success that they have been despite the combination of more ghd limited editions and the bleaker economic landscape (are £135 hair straighteners still an essential purchase during these belt-tightening times?) |

If there is one thing that GHD is famous for (aside from being the best brand of hair straighteners in the world!) it is the controversy that surrounds their advertising. Not since United Colours of Benetton shocked everyone in the early nineties has a brand been so good at being bad as GHD are.
Not content with having mainstream advertising banned by the Advertising Standards Agency on the grounds that it offended multiple religions, GHD have long made even naughtier adverts that are only available on the internet. Â
If you haven't seen any of these before, we recommend that you check them out (assuming you are not easily offended):

Despite not being available until later this year (mid-September our spies tell us), Pink GHD fever is already starting to build. For example the search terms "pink ghd" and "pink ghds" are the two most popular searches on our website over the past month.
This got us thinking about why the pink ghd is just such a massively popular product. Obviously, there is is the charity angle. Most of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, but that is surely not the whole story (or else we'd all have monthly direct debits to the breast cancer charity of our choice).

With over 2/3rds of British consumers happy to own fake clothing, footwear, watches and other items according to a report by the BBCÂ it should come as no surprise that there are a number of unethical companies selling fake GHD stylers.
Unlike fake handbags or fashion, buying fake GHDs throws up some problems beyond just breaking the law. Â
As a professional styling tool which heats up to almost 200c (twice the boiling point of water!), the GHD Styler is subject to the higest standards of manufacturing as well as stringent quality assurance testing to ensure they are safe to use at home. However, fake GHD stylers may not be manaufactured to the same standards, nor may they be made of components that can withstand the sort of extremes of temperature that genuine GHD styler components can. In short, fake GHDs could be potential deathtraps.
