Fake ghd – the easy way to waste £61!

by admin on December 27, 2008

This article is now a bit out of date.  Please visit our homepage where you can then navigate to more recent content, including an updated guide to spotting fakes.

For much of 2009, the key search pages on Google for ghd (i.e. those returned when you search for ghd straighteners) have included a number of ever changing scam websites that claim to sell genuine ghd hair straighteners (and often claim to be Official Retailers) but instead sell counterfeit hair straighteners.

If you’ve arrived at this article, chances are you are worried about fake ghds and want some information on how to identify if a particular website is selling genuine or fake ghd hair straighteners.

Firstly, don’t worry you are not alone in being unsure about which websites to trust when it comes to buying ghd stylers and other hair products.  You can see from the extensive comments below that many other consumers have run into difficulties when shopping for ghd hair straighteners and sadly, some have ended up buying fake ghds that are not warrantied and, indeed, may actually be danagerous.

If you think you have bought a ghd product that is not genuine then the best approach is to call ghd on 0845 330 1133 or use the online product checker on their website.

Alternatively, if you are wondering if a particular website is legitimate, then the following steps should help you:

1. Is the ghd retailer’s site based in the UK?

Does the site have a clearly visable UK postal address?

2. Does the site selling ghds have a UK landline telephone number?

That could include 0800 or 0845 but not numbers starting with 07 or any number with an international dialing code.

3. Is the ghd website VAT registered?

Check the terms and conditions – you should find a VAT number and also a Registered Company number.  Sites that are legitimate don’t need to hide these and will always have them on display (indeed, displaying such information along with postal address is a legal requirement).

4. Will your ghds be delivered from within the UK?

Check the small print or any delivery details page. Your ghds should be dispatched from within the UK using a domestic delivery service that takes no more than 2 or 3 days.

5. Can you use a payment method other than Paypal?

This is an important tip.  If the site only allows you to pay using Paypal and doesn’t have its own credit card processing  then it is almost certainly a scam site.  Unfortunately it is very easy to accept payments using Paypal without having to undergo the same level of stringent checks that a company must pass in order to accept credit cards directly via their own merchant account.   A site that has its own credit card processing will not require you to login or pay via Paypal-branded pages.

6. Does the site offer “Tax Free” or “No Sales Tax” or “Non-Tax”

If so, then it is a scam -100%.  You live in the UK and the only websites you can buy genuine ghd products from are in the UK also.  Thus you can’t buy “tax free” – it is not legal to sell products free of “sales tax” (i.e VAT).  Can you buy a Sony Bravia tax free in the UK? No  Can you buy a Nintendo Wii tax free in the UK, No?

So can you buy the most popular hair straightener tax free?

7. Does the site sell other hair care products besides ghd?

Almost every genuine ghd website sells many other products alongside ghd hair straighteners (there are a few exceptions but these will not fail on the other points in this article).  You can normally expect to find Tigi, Kerastase, Paul Mitchell and other such Salon brands. You shouldn’t expect to find “ugg boots” or any other highly expensive and commonly counterfeited product.

8.  Does the site “feel” right?

To help you understand what we mean, we’ll take the scam site “www.ghd-hair-straighteners.net” as an example.

Look at the Privacy policy and the first line reads “Thank you for visit Official Ghd Online Retailer website and reviewing our privacy policy.”  Not only should “visit” be “visiting” but rather than the site name they have used “Official Ghd Online Retailer website” – so that they can cut and paste this same privacy policy into their next scam site.  Also nowhere in the privacy policy is there an address to which you can write to obtain a copy of your details (a legal right under the Data Protection Act).

Their shipping page uses a completely different text colour to the rest of site and again is written by someone with very poor English “Please contact us within 24 hours after delivered.”

Also, from their delivery details:

“Most approved orders leave our warehouse within one business day. The time it takes to receive your package varies depending on the shipping method you choose, but our standard is 8-days, meaning you will receive your package within 1week usually”

8 days?  For UK delivery by DHL, Fedex or UPS (as they claim later)?  Even if they were using one of the cheapest services from DHL, the slowest you’d expect to get your order would be 2 days following dispatch. 8 days pretty much guarantees you that the delivery is originating overseas – and is thus fake.

Now each scam site will have slightly different black marks that make identifying it reasonably obvious, but they will always be there.

9. Are they selling the “ghd gold” hair straightener with cluch bag?

This hasn’t been available for years from ghd, but was remarkably popular with counterfeiters who much still have relatively large stocks remaining. No legitimate website has this product listed.

10. IS THE PRICE TOO CHEAP?

This is really what it boils down to.  Is the price just too cheap?  We make it our job to source the cheapest ghds around to display on our website and we’ve NEVER seen genuine ghd IV styler’s priced at less than £87.99 (and even that was only for a few days, athough do note that the ghd mini IV styler can be as low as £80 as it has a £10 RRP).  There is very little margin to play with when selling ghd hair straighteners and as such prices of £61, or £59 or whatever are JUST NOT POSSIBLE!

No matter how desperate you are to grab a big discount, you need to understand that ghd’s are not even sold to retailers for £61, so there is 0% chance that a site selling them for around that price (or even £20+ more) is going to be genuine.   You cannot buy anything at less than the wholesale price, so why would you be able to buy the most popular hair straightener in the world for less than wholesale?

Finally if you are still willing to “take a chance” then please bear in mind that by buying a fake set of ghds, you are not only funding organised criminal behaviour, you might be risking the life of you and your family as the product could potentially catch fire even when switched off (but still plugged in to the mains).  A fake product will not have passed any electrical safety tests, won’t have been CE tested and will have been put together with the cheapest components available.

So remember, there are plenty of fake ghd products out there, and the only way to ensure that you are buying a genuine ghd product that is properly tested and manufacturered to the appropriate standards is to buy from a ghd approved retailer – check out our ghd price comparison tables on our homepage.

With your peace of mind our priority, here at Compareghd.com we only list ghd approved retailers in our price comparison tables, ensuring that you get the cheapest price for genuine ghd products!

I’m looking for anyone who has bought their product from this site. I’ve contacted Paypal and they say that they can do nothing for me until there are lots of complaints about the seller [email protected] in the next 180 days.

So please if you have been scammed on this site contact paypal and let me know too. [email protected]

I ordered in good faith that this site was based in the UK and then the confirmation said the package was coming from China, there is no returns label as stated on the site and Paypal are doing nothing because I didn’t buy from ebay.

Chris June 8, 2009 at 4:57 pm

What an absolute joke ghdhair-online is! DO NOT buy from there I felt like there was something wrong with the site but thinking it was too good to miss bought them. My mums used them 3 times and they sound like there gonna blow! I bought using debit card and I bank with Halifax would I be able to get a refund?

Jean June 9, 2009 at 10:46 pm

Hi I came upon this website trying to find a cheap set of GHD’s. Everything looks really good but it just seems too good to be true. Has anyone ever heard of this site or tried buying anything off it? Im worried that its just another scam!

Bernie June 15, 2009 at 3:40 pm

worldwideweb.ghdhair-online.com is fake. Just spotted this is a fake site. My partner has managed to cancel her card before any payment went through!

If this happens to you and you have clicked the link through google adwords. Please email google and complain.

I would recommend buying direct from your local hair salon who are GHD agents

Sophie June 16, 2009 at 3:26 pm

Woah i am so glad i came across this website before signing into paypal! i was literally just about to pay for some pink ghd’s from a website called [fake site name removed] but all the way through registering i thought something wasn’t quite right, i couldnt find a contact us link or any details about it at all and when i could only pay using paypal i thought i would google the website and came across this website!! I feel so sorry for the people who have lost money from these awful websites, they just look so real!
Iv registred with them now though and they have my address and there is no way to deactivate member ship, is it dangerous for them to know my address?

admin June 16, 2009 at 4:35 pm

@Sophie. If they just know your email address and postal address it is unlikely that any harm will come to you. Yes, you might end up getting a bit more spam email than usual, but I’d reckon that the scammers behind these sites probably are making enough from stealing from UK consumers that they won’t waste their time spamming you…

admin June 16, 2009 at 4:39 pm

@Bernie. Buying from a reputable hairdresser is certainly one approach. However two points to bear in mind:

1. Not all hairdressers sell genuine ghds either. There have been plenty of instances of hair salons selling fakes as well, heck even one well known high street chemist (hint: not Boots, the other “super” one…) had to recall a batch of fakes.

2. Buying from a salon is normally WAAAY more expensive than buying from a reputable UK-based website that sells genuine ghds. Currently the cheapest price we have on offer in our price comparison tables is from the Funky Group (a ghd approved retailer) who are selling the ghd radiance limited edition for a mere £94.95 (or the standard ghd iv styler plus two free gifts for just a £1 more).

I ordered some ghd from this website, (an official retailer it said) for my daughter’s birthday. I dont know anything about straighteners and wouldn’t know how much they retail for. I gave them to her on her birthday on 15/6 and she used them on the 16th. The plates are beginning to fall off and they dont turn on anymore. Rang in to find they are fake! My daughter is upset and I am furious! How can I get my money back? DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FIRM.
Bring back curly hair!!

Nina Howard June 19, 2009 at 5:56 am

DO NOT BUY from blissful aromas.co.uk or [fake site name removed], their Pure IV GHD’s were delivered from china and are FAKE, trying to get a refund from them at the moment as not only were they fake they were also FAULTY – what do i expect i hear you cry! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ;o(

Can someone tell me if this website is a fake? I notice a couple of people have bought from it, did you get your products and were they real? Thanks

Compareghd.com says: Fake.

Alex June 21, 2009 at 3:18 pm

My mum will be visiting and asked me to get her a pair of GHDs. She checked on amazon and found a link to ghdhairshops.com in one of the ads. She then sent me the link, and not thinking too much went ahead, ordered and payed for the GHD gold. After a while i thought something was way too fishy and i stumbled across this site – clearly the site i used is a fake. I have contacted my bank who tell me they cant do anything and paypal who have told me to file a dispute tomorrow if the seller doesnt reply. I feel so silly – i’m usually so careful about these things :(

Maureen June 22, 2009 at 5:52 am

[fake site name removed]

DON’T BUY THEM FROM THIS SITE – THEY’RE FAKE AND RUBBISH.

Tam June 24, 2009 at 7:56 am

Hi can anyone tell me if this site is a fake? [fake site name removed]? it doesnt come up on any fake list.

Compareghd.com Says: Fake lists are not exhaustive, there are new fake sites appearing every day, and this is most certainly one of them!

Amanda June 25, 2009 at 11:22 am

[fake site name removed]

Is this website selling fake GHD’s

Compareghd Says: Yes, they are selling fakes.

Linds82 August 24, 2009 at 8:26 am

Yes I will take them straight to the recycle centre and just keep the bag that comes with it, as I have been informed they will be unsafe and not tested. What a nightmare these must be stopped! I actually thought I was on the genuine GHD website, they are that good at faking it.

jodie August 24, 2009 at 9:14 am

[fake site name removed]
i wasn’t sure whether this site is fake because they sell the ghd rare straighteners but instead of the bag behing leaopard print the straighteners are aswell

is this site a fake?

Compareghd.com says: Thanks for giving us the biggest laugh in ages. I bet there were some red faces at that scammer’s factory when those arrived. Of course they are fake.

Rosiee August 26, 2009 at 8:11 am

[fake site name removed]

hey could you please tell me if this website is selling fakes? the purple ones only cost £47 but look real in the picture. thanks

Compareghd.com – Of course they look real in the picture. That is the point of a fake. Purple ghd’s cost £155 RRP. They are completely sold out now, and the last websites selling them were charging a premium. Why exactly could you now get them for £47? What single possible reason could there be for them to be real. None. Utterly and totally fake.

Rosiee August 26, 2009 at 8:16 am

Also, on the actual ghd website it states [site name removed] is selling real ghds but you said its selling fakes so i dont know, could you tell me please. thanks again

Compareghd.com says: No it doesn’t. I’ve just checked on http://www.ghdhair.com and it (unsurprisingly) comes up as “Caution! Unknown retailer website” which is their polite way of saying “scam site”.

lindsey August 29, 2009 at 5:53 pm

I accidently came across this site and i am so glad i have as i was just about to buy a pair of ghd (fakes) with out even realising it from ghdlondon-online.com. £70 I thought i was getting a bargain :(

Thanks

Cherie August 30, 2009 at 4:40 pm

Annette September 7, 2009 at 4:15 pm

I would like to warn everyone who might be considering buying from a fake website, DONT!!!! I needed a pair of new ghd,s as i,d used my old ones to death and they eventually gave up on me. I was delighted to find this website offering the IV styler for £55.99, bargain, NOT! Oh yes my ghd,s arrived alright, however i was instantly suspicious, they didnt look right, so i compared them to the pair that my daughter had lent me (authentic) and instantly the alarm bells were ringing. Next step I tried to register them with the GHD website, suprise, they did not recognise the number, then i entered the website address into the ghd authentic website search, it came up CAUTION! unrecognised website! feeling pretty gutted and stupid as i am usually so careful where i buy from, i contacted my credit card company, NOW HERE,S THE PART I NEED TO WARN EVERYONE ABOUT, THEY PASSED MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS ON PUTTING AROUND £40 ON TO MY CARD THROUGH PURCHASES ON THE INTENET,luckily ive spotted it before they took too much and hopefully i will get my money refunded, BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hannah September 10, 2009 at 3:16 pm

The above webpage is a FAKE!!!! I was lucky enough to come across this warning site just before I bought a pair of GHD’s from the above website. £69 was too good to be true!! I have just bough a pair for £90 at funkyhair so Im hoping all is legitimate there…looks good so fingers crossed!!

Thanks for the warning!! Horrible fake ghd people.

Hannah.

Tom October 28, 2009 at 12:50 pm

iv just got my girlfriend some of this website to im not sure if there fake just have to wait and see if they arrive. waste of money i think but really dont think you would be able to get your money back.

Vee October 28, 2009 at 3:01 pm

I recieved my ghd pretty in pink limited edition yesterday. Ordered it from ghd-direct.com (UK) and arrived in good condition after 7 days here in Asia. :) They also thrown in some freebees, like heatmat and protector spray and registering it to ghd website was a breeze. So, im a happy camper.. for now, i guess. “)

Lisa November 2, 2009 at 7:30 am

Same happened to me, bought purple set of GHD for my daughter, cost £75.00 but they took £82.00, received the straighteners they look genuine but have checked them with GHD and they are definatley fake, i’m not covered with paypal as it wasnt an ebay purchase and im concerned that if i send them back then ill have just given away £82!!, any body got any suggestions, sites like this should be at the top of the google page so you dont miss them

admin November 3, 2009 at 8:48 pm

Yes, that would be nice. However, these scammers also use very dodgy web scams to get high rankings on Google. It would be lovely if Google could do something about this…

Helen November 16, 2009 at 7:12 pm

If you have paid with debit or credit card then go to your bank. Visa debit cards are covered by non receipt of goods so if you have not received them then your bank should be able to get your money back. If you have recived fakes then credit cards should get you a refund – for debit cards you will have to be persistant but bank should help.

admin November 3, 2009 at 8:47 pm

Take them to your trading standards office.

nicola December 4, 2009 at 12:00 pm

i ordered purple and white straigtners and only received a black pair paid by debit card they have asked for a photo just tried sending them one but it wont send

admin November 3, 2009 at 8:50 pm

Its a design rip off of a genuine site ghd-uk.com.

Hannah Clark November 4, 2009 at 12:24 pm

Purchased straightners from a fake site a week ago, and just went on the site and noticed the scam page. Am so upset, because they are so expensive. Actually feel sick! Google shouldnt allow them to be at the top of the page if they’re not a genuine site.

Terribly terribly upset.

jennifer November 5, 2009 at 6:26 am

I bought the purple set for my mum for xmas over a week ago now and havent heard anything from them at all. I have emailed and got nothing back i then decided to put it into google for a review and i am now here on this site and feel like crying. I cant believe ive been so stupid to fall for this!!! i have bought these with my credit card and i am hoping i can call them and claim it back but i dont think.

beagle November 5, 2009 at 1:03 pm

Heres an easy way to tell if its fake: If the price is more than 10-20$ cheaper than the official GHD website, theres about a 90% chance that its counterfeit. Like if you see what is normaly 220$ US, and you go on a site that shows it for 70$, would you buy it? No. Thats just stupid. Same if its normally 120 in UK, and you see it for 60, its ovbiously fake, so stop wasting your money.

admin November 8, 2009 at 12:55 pm

If only it were that easy beagle. For starters a lot of people don’t know the price, and only ever check fake websites (which they don’t know to be fake). Whilst price is certainly a major indicator, we’ve seen some faker selling at “full price” to try and get round this also…

admin November 8, 2009 at 12:52 pm

I’m sorry, but (although I can’t be certain) I don’t know of a single genuine ghd retailer that has been selling dark ghd hair straighteners for months and months. The last available (discounted) retail price was around £129.99.

The website was down when I checked, but it is coming up as “Caution! Unknown retailer website.” on the official ghd website checker.

Basically, all signs are suggestive that you have been scammed. I’d personally call ghd on 0844 879 4905 ASAP and then call your bank….

Rebecca December 1, 2009 at 6:06 pm

I also think this website is a scam. I look at a photo of the GHD gold edition and if you look carefully in the photo you can see someones digital camera in the top right hand corner of the photo! It all rings alarm bells to me so I would not go there.

carol November 10, 2009 at 10:46 am

Hi can anyone tell me if ghds are fakes from London Boutique have contact number and reg number but still not sure can any one help thanks

April November 24, 2009 at 10:26 am

Helen November 16, 2009 at 7:17 pm

If you paid with debit or credit card & have not received the goods then you are coverd by Visa – non receipt of goods- go to your bank who can get a refund for you. If you have received them & they are fake then credit cards should pay out, as for debit cards then be persistant as they are not as described & not fit for purpose.

wendy November 19, 2009 at 12:32 pm

Unfortunately I have also been scamed into buying fake GHDS. Website was GHDSHOPPING.CO.UK.
When I received them they seemed to be faulty and not heating up properly. They have since broke and I can’t find a return address anywhere. When I type the website into google it comes up unrecognised.
They also charged me more than they stated on the website by around £15. I am so annoyed.
Not to sure what I can do about it, Might speak to credit card company.

admin November 19, 2009 at 7:26 pm

Don’t use them what ever you do! These things aren’t worth £5, nevermind £87.99. Untested and unsafe electrical goods can cause fatal house fires, not to mention seriously damage your hair! Call your bank again and insist on doing a chargeback, don’t fall for any of this “they didn’t state they were genuine” baloney. Get a police case number (state that you were the victim of fraudulent misrepresentation) and call your card issuer with this and demand to do a chargeback. Keep at them, and eventually if you are lucky you might get your money back.

There are laws to stop this, unfortunately the major search engines chose to be totall reactive rather than proactive. They could stop this entire fraud in less than a couple of hours, but for some reason it doesn’t seem a priority…

Liz November 22, 2009 at 8:01 am

Thx for you help, my concern is that the website I bought from appears to be in China, do the same regulations apply

admin November 22, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Obviously because they are based in China, you have no chance of pursuing the scammers directly, but you were under the impression that you were buying from a legitimate ghd retailer in the UK (given that they had a “org.uk” domain name).

Sadly, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be successful with your bank / card issuer, but sometimes these sorts of organisations aren’t always overly helpful to start with (it puts a lot of people off) – however, they have ways of recovering the money, you just have to be insistant that you are a victim of fraud, and you wish to do a chargeback. Don’t come off the phone until they agree, and hopefully you’ll be successful. Stick to the facts, you have been defrauded by a illegal website pretending to be based in the UK that was pretending to sell genuine goods (fact: a website doesn’t have to use the term “genuine” or “authentic” for you to be justified in believing that the goods were genuine. Authentic-looking logos, images, names and descriptions, etc can make it reasonable to assume you were buying genuine goods). You expected to receive genuine goods and were reasonable in that expectation, and this did not happen, thus you are entitled to insist that your card issuer to do a chargeback (as I have said elsewhere, the rules for debit cards are different, and can depend on your bank’s own policies).

admin November 19, 2009 at 7:31 pm

If you spent over £100 in a single transaction you are covered by your credit card company, and likely covered by your bank if it was a debit card you used. Make sure you report this as a fraud to the policy and get a case number (this can help focus your bank’s mind a little). State that the website used ghd trademarks to describe the product, and provided imagery of genuine ghd hair straighteners (i.e. there was no knowledge on your part when the transaction took place that the goods were replicas or fakes)

fiona November 24, 2009 at 2:18 pm

i bought fake ghds for my daughter which exploded the first time they were used causing her hair to be singed and scalded her head. This all happened on her 14th birthday. website what can I do????

jeff November 26, 2009 at 5:45 pm

I bought GHD hair straighteners from ghdhairshop.org. They turned out to be fake

jeff November 26, 2009 at 5:47 pm

yep I also bought hair straighteners from that company and they came from China and proved to be fake!

jeff November 26, 2009 at 5:51 pm

I bought a pair and they’re fake. I notice at the top of there web page they say BEWARE OF IMITATIONS. This infers they are genuine. I will be trying hard to get my money back

Ade November 30, 2009 at 4:10 am

I ordered some off that site Laura just over a week ago for my daughter, not arrived yet but I’m pretty sure I’ve been conned after reading this site. Did yours ever arrive?

Lisa December 3, 2009 at 9:08 am

Hi there

I bought ghds from ghds-direct.com and tried to cancel the order but got a reply from melikeyourhair.net to say couldn’t cancel as order already dispatched. I received them 9 days later. They look completley ligitimate. I haven’t used them as they are a christmas present from my husband. I did turn them on to make sure they worked and they seem to be fine. Now from reading all the queries I’m sure they are probably fake. Can I not use these if they’re fake???

admin December 6, 2009 at 3:33 pm

Check out some of our other replies on this (and our article from the menu at the top), but here is the short version:

Of course they look legit, that is the idea. All genuine ghds will validate on the official website (www.ghdhair.com), fakes won’t.

As for using them: Fake ghds are made by criminals who don’t have to pass any safety standards. They use the cheapest possible components, so although the plastic outer shell might look like the real thing, there is no guarantee the inner electrical components will (indeed they almost certainly will not). Plug something of such uncertain origin into your mains supply and then touch your head with it??? You’d have to be cazy in our view! Sorry.

We can never say for sure (for legal reasons), but read our guide and then decide what you think about a site that sells ghd pure for less than £70! Also, try using the website checker on http://www.ghdhair.com, you’ll be disappointed with the outcome!

As for getting your money back from Paypal – good luck! You would probably be better off challenging the transaction with your bank (as they can then do a chargeback against paypal).

I to have just purchased some fake GHDs. Luckily mine were late and i was already susspicious that it was a fake site so i contacted my credit card company who refunded my money. They have now been hounding me by phone and e-mail to cancel the pay-back, i dont think so! I followed a link on an Amazon page and when i contacted Amazon to tell them they were not interested so beware of that as well.
So annoying that these people are taking our hard earned cash

My dad recently purchased a pair of ghds from and once received them they were obviously fake! Has anyone ever received a full refund from this site?

Helen December 15, 2009 at 3:23 pm

Go to your bank or credit card company who can get you a refund as goods not fit for purpose. Tell them you want to raise a dispute – They will advise you of what to.

Hi Katherine, could you tell me if your order from Girlznight.co.uk ever arrived? Are they a bogus company and a fraud?

I also ordered and purchased online a GHD 3 weeks ago from this “recommended as bona fide” site. It’s supposed to be a special; Christmas gift. Nothing has arrived and I have sent 4 emails to them to date without a single reply. I think this company should definitely be taken off the recommended list if not for outright fraud then for woeful incompetence with delivery and communication with customers. I am very upset that my daughter will be without her Christmas present. If anyone else has had any dealings with this Girlznight company, supposedly based in Glasgow, could they post some info on them and let customers know what’s going on with them? Thanks

Liz

I bought some ghds from the carboot for £50 and they are as real as they come. iv registered them with ghd and the carboot i use is constantly checked by trading standards. it just goes to show you can get them cheap. You just have to be careful! borrow a friends pair to take with you and compare them!

Watch out for this website http://www.ghdukoutlets.com it looks like a genuine ghd retailer but the site is copied from the official ghd uk site but the products are fake. Very cunning!

Velma August 20, 2010 at 6:50 am

I was also the victim of a fake GHD purchase. I was so incredibly FURIOUS about it but purchase came from china and i dont seem to be able to contact anyone there in order to return it so im going to have to chalk this one up as an infuriatingly costly experience! My question is – does anyone know what to do with the fake GHDs ive bought – i dont want anyone else to get hold of them in case they are dangerous – do i just throw them straight in the bin? Gutted.

amanda October 15, 2010 at 8:08 am

hi ,, i was wondering if ghdkiss.org is a fake website, because some ghd’s are quite cheap on there, but it looks like a real website?

Stacie October 21, 2010 at 1:50 pm

ghdkiss.org Is a scam. I bought ghd kiss from here for my Moms birthday and as soon as she turned them on there was no beep to say they were ready a strong smell of burning and the hot plate dropped off. Though they say they have a returns policy I cannot contact anybody there. Not only that but the bank recommend I pay for protection on my account so now they’re robbing me as well! That was after they had stopped laughing at the thought of me thinking £61 ghd’s were legitimate…..

admin July 22, 2010 at 3:43 am

Probably a fake site. If you have read our information on how to spot a ghd scam site, you’ll easily identify 3 or 4 things that are strongly suggestive that this is a fake site.
