Despite not being available until later this year (mid-September our spies tell us), Pink GHD fever is already starting to build. For example the search terms "pink ghd" and "pink ghds" are the two most popular searches on our website over the past month.

This got us thinking about why the pink ghd is just such a massively popular product. Obviously, there is is the charity angle. Most of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, but that is surely not the whole story (or else we'd all have monthly direct debits to the breast cancer charity of our choice).

Perhaps, as one of our more chauvinistic colleagues surmised (before ducking swiftly), it is proof positive that all that a brand needs to do to market effectively to women is to make their product pink or sparkly and we instantly revert to being little girls and just have to have "it" pleeeeeeaaaaassssseeee...

Or maybe it is just because the pink ghd styler just looks amazing? Whatever the reason, it won't be long until we can all get our hands on a brand new 2008 pink ghd hair straightener.
